This role is aligned with Diamond Infrastructure Solutions and will be seconded from Dow until January 1, 2027, after which it will transition directly to Diamond Infrastructure Solutions.

About the Role

Diamond Infrastructure Solutions has an opportunity for a Leveraged Air Specialist in Plaquemine, LA. This role leads regional environmental compliance performance at Diamond LAO, GBO, and regional Gulf Coast Pipeline Assets, improving implementation of the environmental system to meet business and site objectives while maintaining the license to operate. The position supports complex tasks and projects across these organizations, requiring in-depth knowledge in environmental compliance and related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead implementation plans for new or complex environmental standards, requirements, and improvement initiatives across LAO, GBO, and regional Gulf Coast Pipeline Assets, tracking success.
• Ensure effective execution of environmental compliance programs using the MOC work process, standards, and procedures.
• Lead performance improvement of environmental compliance and identify opportunities to streamline processes.
• Ensure external regulatory requirements are implemented across all assets.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to local teams on environmental compliance and oversight.
• Perform compliance audits, field assessments, and gap assessments, assisting sites in developing closure plans.
• Participate in environmental audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions for environmental issues.
• Act as a reviewer for local MOCs lacking leveraged environmental resources.
• Stay current with local and area-specific regulatory requirements, interpreting and ensuring compliance.
• Fulfill governmentally required roles as a Certified Environmental Professional and support agency visit protocols.
• Support startup and commissioning of new facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Develop, review, monitor, and deliver training on environmental compliance, updating tasks in the Compliance Task Tool.
• Train trainers on delivering environmental compliance training.
• Submit accurate air permit applications and conduct negotiations for timely receipt with optimal conditions.
• Prepare air permit renewal applications, addressing suboptimal conditions and ensuring consistency with emissions reporting.
• Calculate project economics versus environmental impact (BACT analysis).
• Lead ad-hoc teams to resolve compliance issues by leveraging diversity.
• Facilitate air permit compliance by partnering with plant and EH&S personnel to integrate permit requirements into operating discipline.
• Work with plants to resolve Title V deviations through permit changes.

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a Science or Technical related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in air permitting (application development and negotiating conditions/limits).
• Must possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain one. TWIC eligibility requirements.
• Ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship is available.

Preferred Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering.
• 5 or more years of relevant experience.
• Experience in chemical/petrochemical plant operations.
• Experience in Louisiana Air Permitting.

Schedule

• Optional work schedule: 9/80 or conventional 5-day, 8-hour shifts.
• Work is primarily office-based with occasional visits to plants.
