Level Two IT Support Engineer

About the role

Andisa provides secure, reliable IT systems and managed support for SME businesses from our base in Harrogate. We are a small team of expert and experienced computer network and systems providers for on-premises IT or hosted systems. We are looking for an experienced IT Consultant to join our growing team.

The Level Two role is primarily office-based with weekly travel to clients. You will support the Level One engineer, handle escalations, and help define standards and procedures to maintain our strong client relationships and ensure the service desk runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Play an active role in maintaining an efficient and effective support desk
• Run projects on-site at clients
• Provide guidance and knowledge for less experienced Technicians
• Identify if work is in or out of scope of a support contract
• Frequently deal with customers face-to-face in a consultative manner, resolving issues and managing expectations

Requirements

• Good, friendly communicator (verbal and written)
• Strong work ethic
• 5 years of networking experience (configuring VLANs, routers, switches, VPNs, running cables, etc.)
• Understanding of Active Directory Domain Controller infrastructure
• Experience working within an ITIL-style support desk
• Enthusiasm and a desire to learn
