Level II Systems Engineer
Responsibilities
Ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end-user issues through telephone, web portal, and email support.
Provision and set up new hire systems.
Prioritize incidents and service requests according to defined processes to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Use remote tools and diagnostic utilities to assist in resolving support requests.
Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level when necessary, including hardware repairs, peripheral delivery, or other fixes.
Install and configure hardware and software components on various network infrastructure devices.
Maintain and monitor SOC applications to protect client endpoints.
Administer Active Directory, File & Print services, DNS, DHCP, and network firewalls and switches.
Perform preventative maintenance, such as workstation, printer, and peripheral checks and cleanings.
Lead management and implementation of all technology software stacks.
Manage and monitor client Backup solutions.
Build and maintain good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
Maintain company safety and security standards.
Design and implement network and server solutions as needed.
Assist with onboarding, projects, and updating documentation.
Requirements
College diploma or university degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Experience with desktop and server operating systems, including Azure server environments.
Experience writing proposals for technical solutions to meet business needs.
Strong understanding of technology and business productivity systems.
Active Directory knowledge and experience.
Experience with UTM firewalls is a plus.
Ninja RMM and Autotask PSA Experience.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including rapport building, listening, and questioning skills.
Good problem-solving skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work under moderate supervision.
Awesome organizational skills and multitasking abilities.
Sales Engineering experience is a plus.
Microsoft Server certification is preferred.
Microsoft Desktop operating systems certification is preferred.
Valid Driver's License and ability to drive to customer locations when required.
CompTIA Net+ and/or CompTIA Security+ certifications are preferred.
Managed Services Provider (MSP) experience preferred.
