Level II Field Technician

Roles And Responsibilities
- Provides mid-level field technician functions for various OSP construction projects including but not limited to; QAQC, inspections, surveys, design verification, etc.
- Has the ability to collect and edit data within ARCGIS applications to create surveys
- Adjusts maps, verifies QC data collected, and responds to internal and external client requests
- Maintains simple GIS data integrity ensuring data submitted is correct
- Prepares field data to submit to the customer for deliverables
- Verifies existing duct utilizing rod and roping
- Works with local owners and municipalities to gain access to various jobsites
- Captures visual and GIS data to support make ready surveys
- Performs other job duties when requested by leadership

Work Environment
- Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and driving
- This job operates in a professional office environment
- Company required personal protective equipment always required when on a job site including, but not limited to safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, etc.
Experience And Education
- 4+ years of field telecommunications experience required
- CFOOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician) certification preferred but not required
- Previous experience in an OSP QAQC, locating, or inspecting position preferred but not required
- Must have a valid license with a clean driving record, ability to drive a company vehicle required
- High School diploma or equivalent required
