About the Role

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Level 1 Maintenance Technician to join our hotel maintenance team. This is an entry-level to intermediate position responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and responding to guest and operational maintenance requests. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, takes pride in their work, provides excellent guest service, and is willing to learn and develop their skills in hotel building maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance throughout the hotel.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest room maintenance requests.
  • Complete basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, and minor leaks.
  • Perform basic electrical repairs such as replacing switches, outlets, light fixtures, lamps, and batteries.
  • Assist with basic HVAC troubleshooting, filter replacement, thermostat issues, and routine equipment maintenance.
  • Repair and adjust doors, locks, hinges, closers, and other guest room hardware.
  • Perform minor drywall, painting, caulking, and general carpentry repairs.
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas for maintenance deficiencies.
  • Assist with pool, grounds, and exterior maintenance as assigned.
  • Complete assigned preventive maintenance work orders accurately and on time.
  • Maintain clean and organized maintenance shops and work areas.
  • Properly use and care for hotel tools and equipment.
  • Assist senior maintenance technicians with larger repairs and projects.
  • Follow all hotel safety procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service when interacting with guests.
  • Participate in emergency response situations when required.
  • Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Schedule

Must have flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as hotel operations require. Occasional emergency or after-hours coverage may be required.
