About the role
This is a great opportunity to learn high-Tech & high precision skills. The role is responsible for cleaning & preparing high precision optical components/elements before optical thin film production.
Responsibilities
- Follow manufacturing procedures
- Unwrap and inspect new work
- Select proper method and clean optical components
- Set up substrates in coating tooling
- Secure optics in racks
- Inspect uncoated optics to required specifications
- Follow daily production schedule
- Comply with health and safety policies and procedures
- Supports company values including ethical conduct and high integrity in all actions
- Enter tracking numbers in database
- Clean work area
- Add/remove parts from chemical room
- Invent inventory glass cleaning supplies
- Comply with clean room protocol when entering a clean room environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Work experience in manufacturing environment is a plus
- Cleanroom environment experience is a plus
- MRP or ERP (JD Edwards) experience is a plus
Other Skills & Abilities
- Use of basic mathematic principles, algebra, and geometry
- Ability to work with minimal oversight
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety roles and work instructions
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Occasional light lifting
- Good manual dexterity
- Excels at performing repetitive tasks
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented, driven towards excellence
- Excellent organizational skills
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills, such as Microsoft office and email
- Collaborate with a variety of team members
- Must be able to work overtime as production schedules require
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent

Pay
$42,500.00 - $63,700.00, depending on experience.
