Lending Assistant - Corpus Christi, Carmel
About the role
The role involves providing clerical support for commercial lending activities. Responsibilities include making transfers for businesses, processing loan payments, monitoring disbursements, typing documents, filing, organizing files, opening and sorting mail, assisting with customer inquiries, and supporting Commercial Lending personnel.
Responsibilities
- Makes transfers for businesses.
- Processes loan payments and tracks insurance on business loans.
- Makes address changes as needed.
- Typing a variety of documents, records, and reports.
- Maintains, organizes, and updates business files.
- Opens, sorts, and distributes mail.
- Maintains the Bank’s professional reputation.
- Ensures the work area is clean, secure, and maintained.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Absorbs and conveys information as needed.
- Attends and participates in meetings as required.
- Assists in preparing loan documents.
- Assists, supports, and replaces Commercial Lending personnel as needed.
- Provides assistance and support as needed.
- Communicates with management as required.
Requirements
Prior experience in a financial environment is helpful, particularly in a commercial lending setting. Familiarity with business loan programs and service requirements is essential, along with familiarity with general loan documentation. Strong typing abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills are also required.
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Familiarity with business loan programs and service requirements.
- Familiarity with general loan documentation helpful.
- Prior experience helpful, particularly in a financial environment.
- Accurate and attentive to detail.
- Well organized.
- Strong typing abilities.
- Able to assist others.
- Able to use computer, adding machine, copy machine, and basic business equipment.
