Legislative Policy Analyst

About the role

The Legislative Policy Analyst works in Stateside's Legislative Division. The position supports the development and implementation of strategic initiatives related to state and local government affairs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on state and local government policies and regulations
• Prepare policy analyses and recommendations for clients
• Engage with stakeholders including legislators, agency officials, and advocacy groups
• Support the drafting and analysis of legislation and regulatory proposals
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and provide timely updates to clients

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, communications, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, or related field
• Strong analytical and writing skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and local government processes and procedures
• Experience with legislative and regulatory processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

$58,000 - $60,000 annually

Schedule

Office hours are from 9:00AM to 6:00PM January through May, and from 9:00AM to 5:00PM June through December.
