LEGISLATIVE AND RULEMAKING SUPPORT ATTORNEYS - 78610

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert on drafting legislation and regulations
• Provide internal and external guidance on both the legislative and rulemaking processes
• Develop supporting materials and legislation for department legislative proposals
• During the legislative session, review and track filed bills and amendments and analyze the impact to the department
• Draft amendments to bills filed during session that affect the department
• Draft, review, and edit regulations and manage numerous simultaneous rulemakings to meet deadlines
• Perform other legal tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Tennessee law license
• A minimum of two years of experience as an attorney
