Legal Research Analyst

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive legal research using a variety of online and print resources.
• Analyze and synthesize complex legal information into clear, concise reports and summaries.
• Support attorneys by identifying relevant case law, statutes, regulations, and secondary sources.
• Maintain research alerts on emerging case law, legislation, and industry news.
• Assist with legal technology initiatives, including evaluating and optimizing research tools and information resources.
• Maintain and enhance the organization's internal knowledge management resources, ensuring information is accurate, current, and easily accessible.
• Develop research guides, reference materials, and best practices to improve access to legal information.
• Collaborate with attorneys and business teams to organize, preserve, and improve legal knowledge assets.
• Identify opportunities to enhance research workflows, information organization, and knowledge-sharing processes.
• Stay current on emerging legal research methodologies, technology, and information management trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Juris Doctor or Master's degree in Library Science strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in legal research, knowledge management, or a related field.
• Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, or similar tools.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legal information and communicate findings clearly and effectively.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience supporting legal technology platforms or knowledge management initiatives preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and cross-functional teams.

Pay

USD85,000 - USD95,000 per year
