Legal Recoveries Specialist I
The Legal Recoveries Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Affidavit process and providing necessary training to team members. This position will research and verify the accuracy of all attested affidavits and attachments for use in court. The Legal Recoveries Specialist will maintain, audit, and represent records in court for the company.
Drive Value Within the Organization
- Serve as a Custodian of Business Records which includes verifying the completeness and accuracy of all records
- Provide deposition and trial testimony by representing Global Lending Services in court
- Interact directly with outside law firms, court personnel, and in-house counsel regarding affidavit content
- Understand and accurately explain account acquisition and record keeping processes to both internal and external sources
- Analyze and report on all daily affidavits processed
- Appropriately process incoming and outgoing mail from multiple sources
- Properly process Affidavit requests and assignments of Judgment
- Resolve issues, cross-train staff, perform notarizations, and conduct legal research as needed
- Absorb new Servicers with the Affidavit process
- Act as resource and liaison for internal and external stakeholders by monitoring the Affidavit inbox, answering questions, and providing necessary assistance
- Perform additional assignments and legal duties as required by the needs of the company or directed by management
Requirements to Be Successful
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree required
- Notary Public certification required (or ability to obtain Notary Public certification)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related role required, preferably working for a law firm
- Courtroom experience including trials, arbitrations, depositions, and mediation is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Exercise sound judgment, effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information, interact at all levels within the organization, and build cross-functional partnerships across the business
- Excellent work ethic and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines to complete projects on time

- Must be able to work on a team or independently with minimal supervision
- Must have the ability to effectively represent Global Lending Services LLC in industry and/or public meetings and interactions
- Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of internet and standard business applications; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required
