About the role

We need a detail-oriented Legal Proofreader to join our team. You will inspect legal documents before they go to courts, clients, or opposing counsel. Your work ensures every file is clear, professional, and free of mistakes.

Responsibilities

• Check text: Fix errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and typing.
• Verify citations: Check legal citations, cross-references, and defined terms for accuracy and consistency.
• Follow guidelines: Ensure all documents match firm style rules and legal standards.
• Review formatting: Check fonts, margins, headings, and numbering structures.
• Maintain security: Protect sensitive and confidential client or case information.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven history in proofreading or editing legal documents.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or Law or equivalent work experience.
