Responsibilities
- Work on legal team on complex issues for local and global clients
- Administrative and secretarial duties
- Primary and secondary responsibility for quality checking documents
- Letter formatting and formal client correspondence
- Billing
- Ethical conflicts checks management and file opening
- Conducting sales investigations and industry sector analysis
- Preparing marketing reports
- Scheduling meetings and managing calendars
- Maintaining firm databases
- Making travel arrangements and handling expense reimbursements for attorneys
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) with three years related experience and/or training is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Highly motivated and self-starter
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail and management of multiple deadlines
- Work effectively in a team as well as independently
- Paralegal or equivalent IP experience a plus
- Excellent knowledge of English grammar, proofreading and English composition skills as well as a disciplined eye for quality checking document accuracy
- A history of initiative and task ownership
- Excellent computer skills
- A strong knowledge of MS Word, Windows, Outlook, Excel and Adobe
- Knowledge of USPTO E-filing procedures, IP docketing programs and PatSnap are a plus
