Legal Practice AssistantA well-respected Chicago law firm is seeking a Practice Assistant to join its growing team. This is a full-time position supporting senior associates and counsel within a busy practice group, providing high-level administrative support and serving as a key resource for attorneys who manage complex matters and growing client relationships.The role follows a 35-hour work week with a schedule of 9:30 AM-5:30 PM. The position is currently five days onsite, with the potential to transition to four days in-office once the Chicago office is fully established. The salary range for this position is $75,000-$95,000, depending on experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive administrative professional who enjoys being a true right hand to busy attorneys. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of administrative support experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment. The firm is seeking someone who is highly organized, tech-savvy, and forward-thinking, with the ability to anticipate needs, solve problems before they arise, and keep attorneys operating efficiently. Candidates who take initiative, connect the dots, and thrive in a fast-paced environment will be especially successful in this role.Skills required and Job Duties include the following:Job Duties:Provide day-to-day administrative support to attorneys, including calendar management and workflow coordinationCoordinate complex domestic and international travel arrangements, including itineraries, accommodations, transportation, and contingency planningPrepare, review, and process expense reports and reimbursement requestsEnter, review, and maintain attorney time records in accordance with firm billing guidelinesAssist with billing functions, including reviewing and editing billsCoordinate client meetings, internal meetings, events, and other attorney-facing activitiesMaintain attorney biographies, assist with new matter openings, and support administrative reporting needsUpdate and maintain CRM databases and assist with client relationship management initiativesSupport business development efforts, including client outreach, client gifts, and relationship-building activitiesServe as a primary administrative resource for attorneys and help facilitate communication with internal departmentsUtilize firm technology and workflow tools to manage tasks, records, and administrative processesProvide exceptional client service while handling sensitive and confidential information with discretionQualifications:3-5 years of administrative support experience, preferably within a law firm or other professional services environmentStrong ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced settingExperience coordinating complex travel arrangements and managing demanding schedulesStrong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detailAbility to prioritize competing responsibilities and consistently meet deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other business technology platformsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work with professionals at all levelsAbility to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environmentProfessional judgment, discretion, and commitment to confidentialityAssociate's or Bachelor's degree preferredApply TODAY!Only qualified candidates will be contacted.
