About the Role

The Legal Operations Specialist will manage and enhance the organization's Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, perform initial reviews of common contracts, and contribute to the development of legal operations as the organization grows. This role supports streamlined contract processing and legal workflow improvements to enable effective business operations and legal risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and advance the CLM system by building playbooks, refining workflows, leveraging AI features, and maintaining templates.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to monitor contract volumes, lifecycle timings, and process bottlenecks.
  • Conduct first-pass reviews for high-frequency contracts such as NDAs, vendor agreements, and client renewals.
  • Manage legal intake and triage by routing requests and optimizing contract workflows with business partners.
  • Identify inefficiencies in legal processes and propose solutions including automation and resource development.
  • Support broader legal operations including vendor management and policy development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 4 years experience in legal operations, contracts, paralegal work, or related CLM roles.
  • Experience with modern CLM solutions, preferably Ironclad; Ironclad certification preferred.
  • Ability to review standard commercial contracts and recognize deviations from standard terms.
  • Interest in emerging technologies and their application in legal workflows.
  • Strong independent work skills combined with effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time and task management.
  • Alignment with the mission-driven nature of the organization.

Pay

The starting salary for this position is $72,000 to $90,000 annually.
