Responsibilities
- Opening new cases
- Extracting and verifying case data for accurate and timely docketing of legal documents and critical court dates into Case Management System/Law Manager
- Pulling or locating files for courts and/or employees
- Printing, providing to parties, calendaring, and filing documents as directed/needed
- Identifying, locating, and printing court docket for cases
- Filing documents in case files
- Acting as agency liaison with court clerk's office
- Processing basic or routine correspondence
- Photocopying and scanning documents
- Obtaining regular and certified copies of documents from juvenile and superior court files
- Seeking out other projects/work to assist section
- Providing back-up to receptionists, including various errands
Requirements
The Attorney General's Office is recruiting for a permanent full time Legal Office Assistant in the Social and Health Services Section of the Spokane Division. This position is located in Spokane, Washington, and is represented by the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE).
Qualifications
- Legal Office Assistant salary range 40: $42,972 - $57,252 (Effective 7/1/2025) | $43,836 - $58,392 Annually (Effective 7/1/2026)
- The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the preferred candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
- The Following Stipends May Apply Based On Position Requirements: Incumbents assigned to a position designated as requiring dual language skills will receive a 5% Dual Language Requirement Pay stipend.

Salary: $3,653.00 - $4,866.00 Monthly
