The role of Legal Engineer at Ivo is to drive the company's growth by engaging with law firms and in-house legal teams, becoming a trusted advisor on how Ivo’s solutions can enhance their effectiveness, and guiding them in the successful implementation of the platform.

About the role

Ivo is a contract intelligence platform chosen by companies such as Uber, Meta, Canva, IBM, and Shopify. The company has grown 800% over the past year and recently raised its Series B funding round.

Responsibilities

  • Be a champion of the product and advocate for Ivo at sales calls, customer onboarding calls, demos, webinars, and conferences.

  • Lead product demonstrations tailored to the context of various in-house legal teams, validating how Ivo can add value and showcasing relevant features and benefits.

  • Act as a close advisor to our customers, helping them integrate Ivo into their workflows and adopting best-in-class practices for scaling AI in their work.

  • Implement and oversee the implementation of "Playbooks" for our prospects based on their precedents, templates, and historical agreements.

  • Work closely with engineers to improve model outputs and with designers to improve UX/UI.

  • Act as the "Voice of the Customer," using your legal perspective to help the broader sales team develop and implement more effective strategies and synthesize customer feedback for the product team through a legal lens.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of legal experience, either at a law firm or in-house legal team.

  • Sales or customer-facing experience, including legal business development and/or secondment, is a plus, as is experience directly managing law firm client matters and client relationships.

  • Outstanding presentation skills to both legal and executive audiences.

  • A "do what it takes" attitude, willing to solve problems independently.

  • An excitement about building a company and being part of an early-stage venture.

  • A strong internal sense of urgency, valuing immediate action over delayed decisions.

Qualifications

  • Experience with legal software tools and platforms.

  • Understanding of contract review processes and legal document management systems.

  • Knowledge of legal industry trends and best practices.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to present complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.

  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation.

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Schedule

We require candidates to work with us in-person 5 days a week in our office.
