Welcome to the Legal Department at FRED LOYA INSURANCE AGENCY in Albuquerque, NM. We are currently seeking an attorney to join our team.
About the role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal practice, particularly in insurance law. This position involves providing legal advice and support to the organization, managing litigation cases, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support to the organization on various matters including but not limited to insurance claims, policy interpretation, and contract review.
- Manage and oversee litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Ensure all operations comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve legal issues and improve overall organizational efficiency.
Requirements
- A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the New Mexico Bar Association.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Experience in handling complex legal matters.
- Knowledge of insurance law and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
