Legal Counsel (Remote)

Responsibilities

• Support strategic transactions including acquisitions and divestitures
• Advises on securities and corporate governance matters
• PARTNER WITH FINANCE AND EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP ON KEY INITIATIVES
• Provide practical legal guidance that aligns with business strategy
• SUPPORT THE COMPANY'S GLOBAL OPERATIONS ACROSS MULTIPLE JURISDICTIONS
• CONTRIBUTE TO THE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF LEGAL PROCESSES AND POLICIES
• BUILD TRUSTED RELATIONSHIPS WITH STAKEHOLDERS ACROSS THE ORGANIZATION

Qualifications

• J.D. or LL.B. with Bar admission in a Canadian province
• Experience with public company disclosure obligations and securities compliance
• Proven track record in M&A, divestitures, or corporate transactions
• Strong business judgment in identifying legal risks amidst commercial objectives
• Proactive and well-organized with an ownership mindset
• Curious and driven for complex legal challenges and their impact on business

Pay

$150,000 – $180,000 annually
