Legal Assistant - Personal Injury Pre-Litigation

About the role

As our Legal Assistant in our Personal Injury Pre-Litigation department, you will have the opportunity to assist our Paralegals and Attorneys in progressing our wrongful death, TBI, catastrophic injury, and major orthopedic cases through pre-litigation.

Accountabilities

• Prepare documents for filing
• Draft complaints and minor's compromises
• Understand and monitor court deadlines and statute of limitations
• Communicate with clients in an effective and courteous manner
• Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of experience drafting complaints
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented
• Experience working in Personal Injury law a huge plus
• Type at least 40 WPM

Compensation

$21.64–$31.25/hourly ($45,000–$65,000) depending on experience, plus performance-based incentives
