About the role
A Legal Assistant at LOGS provides exceptional support to the financial institutions we represent in a wide variety of creditor-rights matters. This remote, full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position operates on an Eastern Time schedule of 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. The role requires taking and applying direction from multiple internal and external parties, producing high-volume, high-quality work product with a strong focus on accuracy, and ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, client requirements, court rules, and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Update internal firm systems and external client systems within expected timeframes.
- Sort, scan, categorize, label, digitally file, and properly organize legal documentation.
- Complete assigned work-queue items in designated timeframes.
- Grasp and retain basic legal concepts and terminology to produce accurate work product.
- Assist with preparing various required items for clients and courts.
- Review incoming documents and disperse to appropriate parties.
- Communicate professionally via phone, email, and internal/external messaging systems in a timely manner.
- Complete all assigned trainings in the firm’s Learning Management System (LMS) on time.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
- Skilled at accurate data entry.
- Strong ability to follow instructions, job aids, and procedures.
- Ability to adhere to firm policy while processing assigned work.
- Strong time-management skills and self-driven work ethic.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively as needed.

- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and comfortable with technology.
