About the role

CLEET seeks an on-site, detail-oriented Entry-Level Legal Assistant to join our team at the CLEET Facility in Ada, Oklahoma. This position supports agency attorneys and administrators with the regulatory enforcement of peace officers and private security standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing, processing, and maintaining legal case files regarding peace officer certification, suspensions, or revocations.
• Draft, proofread, and format administrative orders, subpoenas, and correspondence for disciplinary hearings under the guidance of legal counsel.
• Maintain organized physical and digital legal archives using State of Oklahoma databases to track open investigations and case statuses.
• Log Oklahoma Open Records Act requests from law enforcement agencies or the public.
• Act as an on-site point of contact for legal inquiries, routing calls from law enforcement personnel and scheduling regulatory hearings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or certificate in legal studies or criminal justice is preferred.
• Willingness to work full-time at the CLEET main campus in Ada, OK.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a general comfort learning state database software.
• Ability to learn and follow CLEET administrative rules, Oklahoma statutory requirements, and strict open-government standards.
• Exceptional integrity and capability to handle highly sensitive, confidential personnel records and law enforcement internal investigations.

Pay

Salary range $42,000.00 to $50,000.00
