Legal Assistant
About the role
The Missoula branch of Hall & Evans, LLC, is seeking a Legal Assistant to support civil litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, particularly in insurance defense, employment, public entity, and court of appeals matters. The position offers a flexible hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and file documents electronically
- Prepare motion and discovery shells, motion filing
- Expertly coordinate for depositions and trials
- Aid in the preparation of trial/mediation/arbitration documents
- Interface professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court clerks
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court clerks
- Process payment requests and coordinate the client billing process
- Maintain client files and contact information
- Schedule meetings, conference calls, depositions, court hearings, and travel arrangements
- Use Outlook/LSS calendaring and iManage document management program
- Exercise strong editing, proofreading, and grammar skills
- Anticipate and solve problems with a high degree of personal integrity, confidentiality, tact, discretion, and judgment
- Manage a high-volume workload with critical deadlines
- Exercise a high degree of personal integrity, confidentiality, tact, discretion, and judgment
- Work efficiently with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
- Manipulate and edit PDF documents using Acrobat Adobe

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Business school or related professional legal secretarial degree or paralegal certificate preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat for document manipulation

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
