About the Role

Behind every deposition at Shegerian & Associates is a web of notices, subpoenas, schedules, vendors, and logistics that have to be airtight before a single question is asked. As our Deposition Clerk, you're the one who makes it all happen, quietly, precisely, and without fail. We're California's premier plaintiff-side employment law firm, and we're looking for someone who understands that in litigation, the details aren't just important—they're everything.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve deposition notices, subpoenas for personal appearance, and objections so the legal team is always positioned and ready
• Track down witness information through research to ensure subpoenas land exactly where they need to
• Coordinate out-of-state subpoenas and stakeouts, including working with third-party vendors for domestications and filing Disc 30's where required
• Schedule and confirm court reporters, videographers, and interpreters for depositions, trials, client meetings, and beyond
• Book and manage conference rooms for depositions, whether at our offices or third-party locations, keeping the calendar conflict-free
• Support client deposition prep at the direction of attorneys, ensuring clients walk in ready
• Order and save deposition transcripts and videos, then organize and maintain everything in Litify and Dropbox so the team always has what they need
• Process service of complaints and discovery, keeping cases moving forward without delay

Requirements

• Prior experience in a litigation support or legal administrative role
• Familiarity with deposition procedures and legal calendaring
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in case management systems, Litify experience a plus

Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site role. Required hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with overtime required when necessary to meet litigation deadlines, trial schedules, and case demands.

• Hourly pay: $24-$26 BOE
