About the role
We are looking for skilled Legal Assistant to join a dynamic, mid-sized law firm in Baltimore, Maryland. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, depositions, and other legal proceedings to ensure smooth case management.
- Handle electronic court filing processes in both state and federal jurisdictions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Draft and organize interrogatories, pleadings, and other legal documents to support litigation efforts.
- Manage document handling and retrieval using advanced document management systems.
- Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to facilitate case preparation and strategy.
- Maintain meticulous records and track deadlines to ensure compliance with court requirements.
- Provide administrative support, including correspondence preparation and file maintenance.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Conduct research to gather information relevant to cases and legal proceedings.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive legal information at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in litigation support within a legal environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with electronic filing systems for state and federal courts.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in all work.
Qualifications
- Experience with document management systems is highly preferred.
