About the role
We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join a strategic planning function within a well-established family office in Fort Worth, Texas. This in-office position supports senior legal and tax leadership while contributing to a wide range of legal, administrative, and operational activities in a fast-moving financial services environment. The role is well suited for someone who is highly organized, comfortable managing competing priorities, and interested in building strong analytical and process-oriented skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to senior legal leadership, helping keep priorities organized and work moving efficiently.
- Prepare, review, and maintain legal correspondence, standard agreements, court-related documents, and confidentiality materials with accuracy and discretion.
- Assist with litigation matters by coordinating discovery materials, tracking deadlines, and supporting filing activities.
- Manage corporate records and help oversee entity administration, governance documentation, and compliance activities for domestic and international structures.
- Organize and maintain both electronic and physical records to ensure information is accessible, current, and properly archived.
- Handle expense-related tasks such as processing invoices, maintaining usage records, and supporting routine financial administration.
- Contribute to tax and banking support activities, including documentation tracking, form coordination, and account setup or closure requests.
- Work closely with finance and other internal teams on shared projects while providing broader administrative support where needed.
- Coordinate office-related logistics such as meeting arrangements, travel planning, and benefits administration, including enrollment updates and invoicing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in a legal assistant or comparable administrative support role.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Excel and strong overall computer skills across business software applications.
- Experience supporting legal documentation, court filing processes, calendar coordination, and administrative workflows.
- Working knowledge of compliance, entity administration, or regulated business environments.
- Familiarity with AI-based productivity tools and the ability to apply them to streamline repetitive tasks and improve workflow efficiency.
- Availability to work onsite in Fort Worth, Texas during standard business hours in a fully in-office setting.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
