About the role

This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced law firm setting and can balance litigation support, administrative coordination, and client-facing tasks effectively. The role will work closely with firm leadership to help maintain organized case activity, support business development efforts, and keep daily operations running efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct administrative and litigation support to firm leadership, helping prioritize daily needs and maintain workflow continuity.
  • Support marketing and business development initiatives by assisting with outreach efforts, preparing materials, and coordinating follow-up activities.
  • Organize client-facing and industry events, including networking functions and speaking appearances, while managing logistics and scheduling details.
  • Handle office coordination tasks and contribute to administrative projects that improve efficiency across the practice.
  • Open new matters, maintain accurate case records, and ensure legal files remain current and well organized.
  • Monitor calendars for hearings, filing deadlines, and other critical dates to help prevent missed commitments.
  • Prepare, revise, format, and proofread legal correspondence, pleadings, and related documentation with a high level of accuracy.
  • Coordinate electronic filings in state and federal courts and assist with submission-related requirements and timelines.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, calls, and document flow, to support timely responses and follow-through.

Requirements

  • 2–6+ years of experience providing litigation support in a legal environment.
  • Prior law firm experience is required.
  • Familiarity with state and federal court e-filing processes is preferred.
  • Strong ability to draft, format, review, and proofread legal documents accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail with dependable follow-through on assignments and deadlines.
  • Comfortable using technology and learning new software tools and systems quickly.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with minimal supervision.
