About the role
This position is for a legal assistant in the judgment group and responsibilities include but are not limited to preparing documents to submit to the court, requesting and following up on fee approvals and updating client systems. In this position you will need to possess the willingness to work in a team as well as the ability to be self-driven and work independently whenever needed.
Responsibilities
- Review Court Docket
- Prepare motions and affidavits for filing with court
- Timely communication with courts, attorneys and clients
- Updating internal case management system and client systems with case status
- Requesting and following up on fee approvals for work performed
Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal within a foreclosure firm
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be committed to providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with borrowers, clients, attorneys, other internal employees, and outside parties
- Must be able to work with others in a congenial and team-oriented manner
- Must possess exceptional organizational skills; the position requires the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to continual change
- Ability to read and write at a high level for proof reading and editing purposes
- Familiarity with case and document management software
Skills
- Experience with client systems such as ICE, SSE Portal, Tempo, Vendorscape and others is preferred
- Good understanding of the legal process surrounding foreclosure preferred
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
