About the role
Rampino Law, Ltd. is seeking a Legal Assistant to join its growing estate planning and probate practice. This role offers opportunities to work closely with Attorney Kenneth Rampino as the firm expands, and to grow into a trusted member of the team.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones and serve as a welcoming first point of contact for clients and prospective clients
- Schedule consultations, meetings, and appointments
- Conduct client intake and gather information for new matters
- Communicate with clients regarding ongoing estate planning, probate, and elder law matters
- Aid in preparing deeds, probate documents, correspondence, and legal forms under attorney supervision
- Maintain calendars, deadlines, and reminders
- Organize and maintain client files and documents
- Cook up with clients regarding ongoing estate planning, probate, and elder law matters
- Coordinate with courts, financial institutions, government agencies, and other professionals as needed
- Manage office operations, vendor coordination, supplies, and administrative projects
- Support workflow systems and procedures to help ensure the office runs efficiently
Requirements
- Minimum two years of experience in a professional office, administrative support, client service, or legal support role
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and welcoming demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and client needs simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Prior experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, office manager, executive assistant, or client intake specialist
- Experience in estate planning, probate, elder law, trust administration, or real estate law
- Experience working independently in a small office environment

- Eligible to work in the United States

- Salary range: $50,000 to $75,000 annually, depending on experience
- Eleven paid holidays per year, including all major federal and Rhode Island holidays
