About the role

The Legal Administrative Assistant III provides administrative and operational support for Client Legal Services attorneys under general attorney supervision. This role supports insurance defense litigation matters by entering and managing case-related data, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence related to trial, arbitration, and mediation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain compliance within Team Connect (Litigation Management System)
  • Enter, update, and manage case data, including pleadings, motions, discovery, trial, arbitration, and mediation correspondence
  • Manage calendars and coordinate scheduling for hearings, depositions, mediations, and related litigation events
  • Prepare, track, and maintain files and documentation in accordance with established procedures
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal partners and external contacts to support case progression
  • Make basic case support decisions within defined guidelines and under attorney supervision
  • Manage competing priorities and adjust to changing workflows in a litigation environment
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Perform tasks accurately, efficiently, and within required timelines

Requirements

  • Administrative experience in a legal, insurance, or professional services environment, preferably supporting insurance defense litigation
  • Experience supporting litigation activities, including scheduling and case coordination
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, civil litigation processes, and case management systems
  • Working knowledge of various Maryland courts and local procedures
  • Court approval experience and knowledge of the Maryland court system considered a strong plus

Pay

Compensation offered for this role is 20.77 - 32.67 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The role is based in or near Maryland. Candidates must be able to attend additional in-office meetings as business needs require.
