About the role
The Maintenance Split Shift 3pm-11:30pm position at LEER Group, LLC is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and production support machinery to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and production support machinery.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose root causes of failures, and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Participation in annual training for Hazardous Waste Recycling and fire safety.
- Familiarity with the current system of paint processing used.
- Ability to read and verbally communicate in English.
- Frequent physical demands such as standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching overhead, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling carts, racks, and equipment, and climbing ladders.
- Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, gloves, and steel-toed footwear.
Physical Demand
- Frequently stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift.
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead.
- Frequently use hands and arms to handle materials, tools, and equipment.
- Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently.
- Occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds with assistance.
- Push and pull carts, racks, and equipment throughout the work area.
- Perform repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and arms.
- Climb ladders and work from elevated platforms as required.
- Maintain visual acuity sufficient to inspect products and identify defects.
Work Environment and Environmental Conditions
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The fumes/gases are moderate to severe.
- The environment may become warm to hot upon occasion.
- Wears required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, gloves, and steel-toed footwear.
- The work environment is a manufacturing setting.
