The Theatre Department at California State University San Marcos is seeking a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach TA 307: On-Camera Acting.
Course Description
Provides hands-on experience in acting for film and television. Students will work in various genres (e.g., commercials, romantic comedy, drama, etc.) discuss acting techniques as they apply to film performance via practical projects, reading, written assignments and critiques.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Master of Fine Arts in Theatre/Acting
- At least 3 years' experience working with university students
- Current website portfolio
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional acting/directing experience
- Demonstrated intercultural competence and commitment to serving a diverse campus community
Pay and Benefits
Salary commensurate with degree level and experience
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month
The salary schedule information for the Lecturer - Academic Year Classification is available based on the following ranges:
- CSU Classification Salary Range Lecturer A - AY: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month
- CSU Classification Salary Range Lecturer B - AY: $6,221 - $13,224 per full-time month
