About the role
The Department of Statistics and Data Science at Yale University is seeking applicants for a full-time teaching faculty position at the rank of Lecturer. We are looking for candidates with strong teaching skills, a passion for teaching, and experience or interest in innovative pedagogy. Successful candidates will contribute creatively to the teaching and further development of our Statistics & Data Science programs, particularly those courses and experiences oriented towards data analysis and interdisciplinary collaboration.
In addition to courses for Statistics & Data Science majors, this position will be involved in teaching courses in Statistics and Data Science for students of diverse backgrounds and interests throughout the university. The teaching load will be two classes per semester.

Qualifications
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Statistics, Data Science, or a related field, or completion of all requirements for that degree by the time of hire.
Responsibilities
- Teach two classes per semester, including courses for Statistics & Data Science majors and courses for students of diverse backgrounds and interests across the university.
- Contribute creatively to the teaching and further development of the Statistics & Data Science programs, with a focus on data analysis and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Engage in innovative pedagogy and enhance the learning experience for undergraduate students.
