Lecturer - Retailing and Consumer Science

About the role

The Department of Human Development and Consumer Sciences at the University of Houston invites applicants for a full-time non-tenure track, faculty position in retailing and consumer science at the rank of lecturer.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Teach innovative undergraduate courses in retailing, merchandising, and/or consumer science.
• Teach undergraduate courses (four classes for Fall and Spring).
• Engage in service to the community.
• Communicate effectively, establish positive working relationships, and contribute to team endeavors, particularly within the program, department, and across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Retail and Consumer Science or a closely related field and have demonstrated teaching experience.
• A Ph.D. in Retail and Consumer Science or a closely related field is preferred.

Salary

Commensurate with experience.
