Lecturer (Physiotherapy Clinical Educator)
About the role
The Physiotherapy Clinical Educator will coordinate and deliver physiotherapy clinical placement programs within the School of Health Sciences at UNSW. The role ensures high‑quality clinical education and student learning experiences, contributes to curriculum development, employs evidence‑based teaching, and maintains strong engagement with clinical partners. The position also fosters student success and drives continuous improvement in physiotherapy education.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver physiotherapy clinical placement programs.
- Develop and refine curriculum and teaching materials for undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
- Engage with clinical partners to secure placement opportunities and maintain strong relationships.
- Implement evidence‑based teaching practices and educational technologies, including online delivery methods.
- Monitor and evaluate student learning outcomes and continuously improve the clinical education experience.
- Stay up to date with professional development and discipline knowledge.
Qualifications and experience
- PhD in Physiotherapy or a related discipline, or significant clinical education experience.
- Registration with AHPRA as a physiotherapist in Australia.
- Demonstrated clinical experience within the physiotherapy industry.
- Experience with work‑integrated learning and clinical education.
- Proven track record in teaching and learning design, development, and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Experience using and/or designing educational technologies and online delivery methods.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and a passion for educational excellence.
- Knowledge of industry or experience of work‑integrated learning (desirable).

Location
UNSW Campus, Kensington, Australia. The role may require occasional site visits; a full driver’s licence is strongly preferred.
Pay
Base salary $133,000 – $156,000 per annum, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading.
Schedule
Full‑time, 35 hours per week. Fixed‑term contract until 31 May 2028 (possible extension dependent on funding).
