About the role
The USD Physics and Biophysics Department seeks applications for a part-time instructor for the following courses for Fall 2026 (in-person modality).
Responsibilities
- Lecture courses carry a 3-unit teaching load and labs carry a 2-unit load.
- Part-time instructors will hold 1.5 hours of in-person office hours per course taught.
- This is a part-time temporary, non benefit-based position with an anticipated end date of 12/31/26.
Requirements
- Candidates must have an MS in Physics (or a closely related field such as Applied Physics) before the starting date (August 2026).
- Preferred Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have a PhD in Physics and college-level teaching experience beyond the teaching assistant level.
