About the role

Lecturer in Construction: Plumbing (Reference 26/111) based at UHI Moray’s Linkwood Technology Centre in Elgin. Permanent position, 35 hours per week (1 FTE). Closing date: 9 am, Monday 12 October 2026.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and theoretical teaching sessions in plumbing, gas, oil, renewables and related construction topics.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ domestic or industrial plumbing experience.
• SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing.
• Eligible for PVG Scheme membership (or Disclosure Scotland check).

Qualifications

• OFTEC qualifications.
• Domestic ACS Gas qualification; Commercial ACS Gas preferred.
• Competence working with Sheet Lead.
• Solar thermal and heat pump qualifications advantageous.
• Teaching qualification advantageous (not essential).

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to teach a range of practical and theoretical sessions.
• Experience of teaching or training advantageous.

Pay

Salary range: £43,402 – £52,247 per annum.
