Responsibilities
- Teaches courses in the Bachelor of Science Health Services Administration program
- Advises health science majors
- Serves on department, college, and university committees
- Assists with course and curriculum development
- Coordinates some program activities
Requirements
- Ph.D. required
- Experience working in a healthcare setting desired
- Doctoral degree in Health Services Administration or a related field required
- Knowledge of theory and practice in the health sciences, especially in the area of health services administration, required
- Knowledge of curriculum design for academic programs required
- Effective planning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds necessary
- Ability to provide a record of research, scholarship activities, and strong teaching ability required
Qualifications
Teaching experience at the college level and professional experience in the field of health service administration is required.
Experience integrating technology into the teaching process and/or teaching in a variety of modes (hybrid and on-line) is essential.
The ideal candidate will have experience conducting research with undergraduate students.
Skills
Effective planning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds are necessary.
Ability to provide a record of research, scholarship activities, and strong teaching ability is required.
