About the role

The position is a 9-month teaching appointment within the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering. The successful candidate will teach up to five synchronous courses annually in support of Biological Engineering, Biological & Agricultural Engineering Technology, and Agricultural Institute programs.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to five synchronous courses annually in Biological Engineering, Biological & Agricultural Engineering Technology, and Agricultural Institute programs.
• Primary teaching responsibilities include lecture and laboratory instruction in areas of engineering circuits, agricultural electrification, agricultural machinery systems, turf and landscape equipment technology, and related applied technical subjects such as shop processes and management, or agricultural health and safety as assigned.
• Support student success through effective instruction, mentoring, and academic engagement.
• Curriculum and laboratory development, coordination of instructional equipment and facilities, maintenance of laboratory safety standards, and service to the department, college, and university.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Biological & Agricultural Engineering, Biological & Agricultural Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated excellence or strong potential in college-level teaching in the area of biological & agricultural engineering technology, including hands-on learning.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and colleagues.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required within 30 days of start date and must be maintained.
• Valid NC Driver's License required.
• No Commercial Driver's License required.

Pay

Commensurate with Experience ($53,000 - $65,000).

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, evenings and weekends as needed.
