Lecturer - Agribusiness
About the role
The Department of Agricultural Sciences within the College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Life Sciences at Clemson University seeks to fill a non-tenure 9-month appointment position at the Lecturer level in Agricultural Business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and teach undergraduate courses in fields associated with agribusiness and agricultural economics.
- Teach three to four undergraduate classes per semester, including Agricultural Economics (AGRB 2020), Agriculture and Society (AGRB 2050), Marketing (AGRB 3090), and Agricultural Sales (AGRB 3510).
- Supervise internships and assist in growing the major through recruitment and student retention activities.
- Teach summer school courses for additional compensation.
Requirements
- A minimum of an M.S. in agricultural business, agricultural economics, agricultural sciences, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of undergraduate agricultural economics and agribusiness courses.
- A strong commitment to quality teaching, excellent communication skills, and a desire to teach and mentor undergraduate students.
- Previous experience in agricultural production, agricultural business management, agricultural finance, agricultural marketing, and/or agricultural sales is preferred.
Qualifications
- An M.S. in agricultural business, agricultural economics, agricultural sciences, or a related field.
