Leave Replacement Teacher of Elementary
About the role
Leave Replacement Elementary Teacher at Parkway Elementary School, effective January 19, 2027 through May 28, 2027 (with possible transition days prior to start). Reports to the Principal. This is a temporary, full‑time leave‑replacement position eligible for health insurance benefits and governed by the negotiated agreement between the Educational Association of Paramus (EAP) and the Board of Education. The job goal is to provide an approved elementary education program, establish a class environment that fosters learning and personal growth, help students develop the skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed for a strong foundation for continued education, and maintain good relationships with parents and other staff members.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an approved elementary education program for grades K‑4.
- Create a classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth.
- Support students in acquiring skills, attitudes, and knowledge that form a foundation for continued education.
- Maintain positive communication and relationships with parents and fellow staff members.
- Participate in performance evaluations per the district’s agreement with the Education Association of Paramus.
Requirements
- New Jersey resident or willingness to relocate.
- Pass controlled substance testing.
- Successfully complete a criminal history background check (required for all applicants offered employment).
Qualifications
- Elementary certification (K‑6 or P‑3).

Pay
Salary: $57,547.00, prorated according to the effective dates of the assignment.
