About the role
This position will serve as a high school guidance counselor for the 2026/2027 school year from September 3, 2026 to November 20, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual counseling sessions to students
- Conduct group counseling sessions
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student academic and personal development
- Implement and coordinate school counseling programs
Requirements
- Master's degree in Counseling or related field
- Valid New Jersey School Counselor Certificate
- Experience working with adolescents
- Knowledge of adolescent development and mental health issues
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
