Leasing Specialist

About the role

The Leasing Specialist coordinates all requests from military families with the property management team. They assist in daily leasing functions, including leasing homes, qualifying applicants, executing leases, maintaining resident files, and monitoring government compliance.

Responsibilities

• Captures and discharges service requests and distributes them to the appropriate Maintenance Directors/Managers.
• Maintains resident file jackets and maintenance file jackets (if applicable).
• Performs routine market analysis reports.
• Affirms property compliance with legal documents and ensures adherence to policies.
• Organizes and schedules social events, educational classes, physical activities, and family functions for the community residents.
• Prepares and recommends advertising and marketing strategies.
• Shows properties by setting appointments, providing property statistics, and highlighting benefits.
• Completes leases by reviewing contract requirements, negotiating terms, obtaining signatures, deposits, and payments.
• Collaborates in advertising in all venues including social media.
• Drives for the Company using either a Company vehicle or a Personal/Rental vehicle to conduct Company business.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or related discipline preferred.
• Previous Leasing Experience required.
• Experience working with computers and typical office software such as Email, Word, Excel, and internet browsers required.
• Previous experience in sales preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• The ability to show houses which may include working in all types of weather conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling highly confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally with individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
• Able to handle multiple priorities with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A high degree of professionalism and a strong work ethic coupled with a sense of responsibility and integrity required.
• Ability to resolve problems independently and responsibility.
• Requires a reliable, self-motivated team player who pays close attention detail, demonstrates strong communication, client management and business literacy skills.
• Demonstrates discretion and ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
• Effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex business issues.
• Takes initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.
• Requires use of technology platforms on a daily basis.
• Basic understanding of safety practices.
• Valid DL NUMBER - Driver's License, Valid and in State required.

Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience.
