About the role

The Collier Companies is seeking a Leasing & Marketing Manager for one of its community offices in Gainesville. Located in a beautiful area with natural areas, a temperate climate, and numerous educational, cultural, and commercial opportunities, Gainesville was recently ranked as one of the top 10 places to live in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Shows and leases apartment homes, houses, or rooms for rent at communities.
  • Prepares, explains, and signs leasing agreements to past, present, and future residents.
  • Helps manage the leasing team at the community.
  • Implements the marketing plan.
  • Greets customers with a friendly, courteous attitude.
  • Schedules appointments to show apartment homes.
  • Takes apartment home applications and conducts credit checks on applicants.
  • Develops a weekly schedule for Leasing Specialists.
  • Delivers notices.
  • Prepares and signs leasing agreements with renewing and new residents.
  • Aids in preparing apartment homes for re-rental at any time.
  • Passes out fliers to promote the community.
  • Cross-markets to other communities within The Collier Companies.
  • Takes ownership of resident problems or concerns and follows through with resolution.
  • Filings and organizes working area.
  • Opens and closes the office and shows.
  • Straightsens and cleans office area and shows apartment homes.
  • Prepares and helps with renewal parties, residential appreciation parties, or any other special function at the community.
  • Maintains models, mini models, or other shows in top condition to show prospective renters.
  • Manages responsibilities as needed due to community needs, market changes, or seasonal demands of position.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, college education preferred.
  • Retail, sales, or customer service experience.
  • Fair Housing and legal knowledge.
  • Reading, writing, seeing, hearing, and communication skills.
  • Reasoning, interpersonal, and appropriate telephone skills.
  • Management or leadership abilities.
  • Tactful, mature, flexible, and cooperative.
  • Ability to take initiative and follow tasks through completion.
  • Computer and typing skills.
  • Valid in-state Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
