About the Role
University City Housing is seeking an energetic and driven Leasing Manager to join our team at Salem Harbour, an 800-unit apartment community in Bensalem, PA. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who is passionate about creating exceptional resident experiences, driving leasing success, and leading a high-performing team. In this role, you will be actively engaged throughout the community, building relationships with prospective and current residents, conducting property walks, and coaching a team dedicated to outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed occupancy targets and maintain desired occupancy through proactive leasing strategies
- Complete weekly leasing/traffic reports to monitor competitive positioning and evaluate effectiveness
- Lead, supervise, and coach leasing consultants to achieve leasing goals
- Build a strong, high-performing team through training in sales techniques, customer service, and product knowledge
- Execute professional follow-up communications and leasing activities; track prospect activity, and ensure lease applications are processed timely
- Maintain accuracy and organization in leasing files, reports, and administrative documentation
- Address resident concerns promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary; maintain high resident satisfaction through effective communication
- Ensure incoming residents receive a five-star move-in experience in coordination with maintenance
- Follow-up with maintenance on unit inspections prior to move-in; coordinate with Maintenance Coordinator and Property Manager as needed
- Support daily property operations to ensure efficient on-site activities, adherence to company policies, and timely reporting of property issues that may impact leasing success
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software (Entrata preferred)
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Stable, progressive work history with 3+ years experience in leasing or property management preferred
- Experience motivating and developing a leasing team
