Leasing Manager

About the role
We are seeking a full-time Leasing Manager to join our dynamic team at Juliette, a 177-unit luxury rental residence community in downtown White Plains, NY. Residents will enjoy a variety of residence styles, including one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom options averaging 1,200 square feet, along with premium amenities such as an outdoor leisure hub with a courtyard, pool, spa, barbecue grill, exterior fireplace, and bicycle storage.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily, weekly, and month-end reporting, including accurate reporting on resident ledgers.
- Post rent, manage delinquency collections, handle the eviction process, finalize accounting statements after resident move-outs, and create/post POs and daily deposits.
- Secure and manage lease renewals and prepare new lease paperwork for final approval.
- Conduct daily physical walks and inspections of the community to address issues and ensure property conditions meet company standards.
- Assist with hiring and training new staff members.
- Monitor resident satisfaction through communication and surveys.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of area competitors.
- Oversee property operations and staff when the Community Manager is not on-site.
- Assist with leasing duties, including touring prospective residents and preparing lease agreements as needed.
- Assist with hosting resident appreciation events.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years’ experience as an assistant manager.
- 3 years’ experience in property management.
- Fair Housing training.
- CAM certification.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Yardi products.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism with clients, vendors, and co-workers.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to take initiative, use good judgment, and demonstrate urgency and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and seek clarification when needed.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle interruptions, and adapt to frequent changes or unexpected events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Bookkeeping and account reconciliation experience.
- Property management experience with a focus on lease-up and mixed-use communities.
- Experience with YARDI.
Schedule
Initial schedule: Sundays – Thursdays, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET. Schedule may change after stabilization.
Pay
Salary range: $60,000 to $65,000, based on experience.
