Leasing Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a Leasing Manager to join our team and drive our leasing efforts at a Garden Style Multifamily residential property in Pikesville, MD. Under the direction of the Community Manager, you will be the primary owner of all leasing activities, including marketing available units, conducting property tours, screening potential tenants, negotiating lease terms, and ensuring a seamless move-in process for new residents.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet visitors, prospective renters, and current residents.
• Provide potential tenants with brochures, information, and tours of facilities and available units.
• Consult with prospective tenants to identify requirements and budgets, then match these needs with available properties.
• Ensure available and model units are fresh and tidy.
• Act as a liaison between the property management company and residents to minimize vacancies.
• Conduct background and credit checks and verify references as directed by the Property Manager.
• Prepare leases for Property Managers review and approval; obtain signatures from management and tenants.
• Coordinate move-in dates, materials, and processes.
• Prepare move-in materials.
• Create, develop, and maintain a wait list as needed.
• Negotiate leasing terms and conditions and close deals.
• Tour property daily to ensure it is neat, tidy, attractive, and in good repair.
• Manage use of shared facilities such as fitness and recreation areas, laundry facilities, and meeting or gathering spaces.
• Assist with recordkeeping, filing, bookkeeping, and paperwork as required.
• Create, develop, and maintain a list of promotions and discounts.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract renters.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay

The compensation for this position ranges from $19 to $22 per hour, with bonus opportunities, commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, non-exempt position eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek.
