About the role
We're seeking a skilled Leasing Manager to oversee apartment rentals, move-ins and move-outs, and lease renewals. You'll interact directly with prospective and current residents to maximize occupancy and ensure resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Conducts training, facilitates meetings, and coaches leasing consultants for optimal performance.
- Leads marketing efforts, generates traffic, qualifies prospects, leases apartments, and processes move-in paperwork.
- Reviews and ensures lease applications have accurate information and payment has been collected.
- Maintains accurate records, coordinates move-in/out schedules, and inspects apartments for move-in condition.
- Manages resident files, processes renewal paperwork, and assists with resident activities to enhance retention.
- Ensures safety and cleanliness of buildings and grounds, and communicates maintenance needs to the maintenance team.
- Assists with resolving resident issues and neighbor disputes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma with minimum one year of residential leasing and/or management experience.
- Prior experience with a revenue management system, Yardi, and customer reputation management tools.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Completion and successful passing of the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
