Position Overview
Valiant Residential is seeking a Leasing Consultant responsible for leasing, retention, and occupancy duties, promoting resident satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have experience working with the public and/or sales, strong communication skills, and Fair Housing certification.

Responsibilities
- Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria (ask questions, utilize completed guest cards, etc.)
- Create and prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork
- Immediately record all telephone and in-person visits on appropriate reports
- File guest cards and maintain them according to established procedures
- Inspect models and available units; communicate related service needs to the Community Manager
- Accept rental payments and give them immediately to the Assistant Community Manager
- Type lease, complete appropriate paperwork, and input information on the Yardi System accurately and on time
- Review with the Community Manager before obtaining signatures
- Aid in monitoring renewals, distributing and following up on renewal notices, and gathering market competition information
- Implement community policies and assist the management team with other tasks as required
Requirements
- Experience in working with the public and/or sales
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Bilingual in Spanish (a plus)
- Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents
- Ability to support and contribute to the community team
- Positive attitude and ability to smile under all circumstances
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Two (2) years experience in previous relevant customer service
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Compliance with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook
- Ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem
Qualifications
Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances. Operate telephone, personal computer/keyboard, Microsoft Office including Word and MS Outlook, and community software. Demonstrate an ability to support and contribute to the community team. Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
