About the role

Performs a variety of administrative tasks geared toward the goal of maximum occupancy by quality residents. This position is considered an essential function to the operation of the Community, requiring consistent attendance to ensure proper workflow and communication within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Abides by Fair Housing Laws.
  • Provides tours of apartments to prospective residents.
  • Runs credit reports on prospective residents.
  • Prepares lease packets.
  • Inspects apartments prior to showing them.
  • Maintains logs of traffic through the property.
  • Leases units.
  • Provides information over the telephone to prospective residents.
  • Maintains a visible public relations’ attitude toward current and prospective residents.
  • Typing and filing property-related reports.
  • May assist with rent collection, bank deposits, or other general errands.
  • May assist with resident retention activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Some advanced real estate training, including familiarity with the Landlord-Tenant and Fair Housing laws, and prior experience in a leasing position (preferred).
  • Valid Driver’s License (if operating a vehicle).

Physical activities

  • Typing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs, or sitting for periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
